Abstract

This study aims to investigate and describe the types and formats of nutrition education interventions in colon cancer patients with a postoperative stoma and to examine the effect of nutrition education interventions on ostomate nutritional status. The method used is a systematic review through article searches on the Google Scholar, ScienceDirect and Proquest databases. The results showed that there was a significant improvement in the nutritional status of the patients. The ostomates can maintain fluid and electrolyte balance and albumin levels in the blood while suppressing the incidence of sepsis. One article showed a decrease in ostomate re-admission due to malnutrition (10.3%). In conclusion, the effectiveness of nutrition education intervention can improve the nutritional status of colorectal cancer patients with a stoma. Abstract

This research aims to describe the planned change process using Kurt Lewin's theory to optimize effective communication during ward handovers by improving the nursing manager's function. The method used is a case study including assessment activities, problem analysis, preparation of planning of action (POA), implementation, and evaluation. The research results show that in the unfreezing phase, problems were found that the performance of effective communication during the handover was not optimal, so the priority strategy for solving the problem was optimizing the planning function for handover activities. In the movement phase, a POA was prepared with indicators that were successfully achieved, namely the preparation of a revised handover SPO draft and socialization of the revised SPO draft with the nursing sector, Head Nurse, and Clinical Care Manager. In contrast, this could not be done in the refreezing phase due to time constraints, so a follow-up plan was prepared and agreed with the PIC of the activity. In conclusion, the planned change process towards optimizing effective communication during handover requires an increase in the function of nursing managers, especially in the planning function. Managers must provide policies, one of which is SOP handover, and must review and revise policies to remain new and can be applied. Abstract

This study aims to find and discuss evidence based on digital-based pain management in patients with chronic diseases. The method used in this research is a systematic review that starts by identifying nursing problems, determining priority problems and research questions, searching for and identifying relevant research, and carrying out data extraction. The research results show four significant scopes of literature searches discussing chronic pain management: telehealth, applications, internet-based therapy, and virtual reality. The conclusion is that digital therapy can help reduce the pain felt by patients. This therapy can be beneficial in the long term because digital therapy is a therapy that is cheap, easy, and can be done anywhere without having to go to a health service.
